A few years ago, someone I knew from a hip-hop messageboard (yeah that's right, messageboards can be hip-hop!) entertained the idea of starting a hip-hop site focusing on record reviews of classic and obscure albums by a close-knit community of knowledgeable writers. The website got off the ground and is now reaching into the sky with ambitious writers, creative artists (agent b) and funny parodies of the culture. If you're not into the culture beyond commercial means then you probably just won't get it.
